Otra Galaxia (2026)

Otra Galaxia takes the idea of the flamenco fin de fiesta as a starting point to explore friction as a force of transformation. The act of dragging the chairs turns the elements of a festive scene into a burden, making physical resistance an image of the act of leaving. What is left behind continues to exert resistance, revealing how every farewell entails a transformation of the bonds that connect us to who we once were.

Alongside the video, a speaker makes water vibrate to the rhythm of a bulería, turning its surface into a body sensitive to sound. Acoustic vibration is thus translated into movement, making visible the capacity of sound to act upon and transform matter. Between resistance and vibration, friction emerges as a force that destabilises existing forms and opens up the possibility of other expressive configurations.

This project was presented in Konvent Zero during CROMLEC, an artistic residency organised by einaidea and Konvent Arista
